Is there one part of your kitchen design you just can’t decide on? One you just don’t seem to be able to find a solution for?

For me, it’s the splashback. When I had the kitchen designed, I decided not to have a splashback behind the hob and it’s a decision I regretted almost immediately. Although the wall behind the hob has a wipe-clean lacquer over it (at the suggestion of my clever Roundhouse kitchen painter) a year or two of hob-top curries has left it looking a little worse for wear. I need something more durable and easily wiped clean.

Not a big problem you might think. Just find what you want and have it fitted and there you are… Oh, if only it were that simple. The problem, you see, is one of too much choice. Should I go for tiles, if so what kind of tiles? How about sleek stainless steel? Or glass… but what colour glass? So, you see my dilemma. Just skimming though the pages of Beautiful Kitchens and looking online at House to Home there are so many beautiful solutions I’m worried that I’ll choose and then find something better later on. Currently, I’m favouring glass (easier to clean) but I love rectangular metro tiles, too. When you’re faced with beautiful choices such as the ones below, just how do you decide…

How about mirrored splashbacks to bounce light around the room?

Maybe I could try wallpaper and Perspex for a unique look

Being in the trade i’m always looking for new ideas. I especially like the dark and delicious marble, very tasteful. I really enjoyed the good quality photos!
      Thanks
