    Our brilliant September issue goes on sale today – and you really won’t want to miss it.

    We have your essential guide to built-in ovens, feature floors and wood worktops and advice on the best larder fridges, sideboards and steam irons. Plus our gallery of bright and colourful kitchens is sure to inspire you.

    There are ten real-life kitchens, too. My favourite is David and Cathee Trewin’s Underwood kitchen, with its mix of walnut and painted cabinetry. I love their huge conservatory, which David arranged to be built while they were on holiday, as a surprise for Cathee – now that’s just the kind of surprise I’d like too.
